How Do I Rent Points?
Click on "Get Started" and create a Renter account. You then complete the "Reservation Request" form. The link to create a reservation request is located in the menu bar on the left hand side of the webpage. Upon submission, we will begin looking for an Owner match for your vacation rental request.
How Do I Put My Points Up To Rent?
Click on "Get Started" and create an Owner account. You then complete the "Owner Offerings" form. The link to create an Owner listing is located in the menu bar on the left hand side of the webpage. Upon submission, we will begin looking for a Renter(s) to match you with to rent out your points. As a DVC Owner, you can also be a Renter, if you have a need to rent more points.How Early Can I Book A Reservation?
DVC Owners can view resort availability and make reservations 11 months from today's date at a home resort, and 7 months from today's date at a non-home resort. When Owners post points to RentMyDVCPoints.com, their home resort will be displayed along with how many points they have to rent.
Can I Reserve Points In Advance?
No. All of our points posted by Owners are delegated on a first come, first serve basis. We cannot guarantee point availability at your maximum price if you are looking to book at a later date. If a situation like this arises, we try our best to accommodate you.
Are You Able to Transfer Vacation Points from One DVC Owner to Another?
Unfortunately, because we handle other Owners' points, we do not do transferring of points to another DVC Owner account. We are only able to secure reservations.
How Much Does It Cost To Rent Points?Unlike other rental sites, we let you decide how much you are willing to pay per point. Everyone's budget is different and every Owner has different needs. We let renters set their MAXIMUM rental price and owners set the price of their points. This helps both parties get the best deal for their needs.
Can I Negotiate Point Price With a Renter/Owner?
No. We at RentMyDVCPoints.com understand that every party has a different budget to work with, so it is our job to match you with a Renter/Owner at a price that you are most comfortable.
Are There Any Hidden Costs?NO, all costs and applicable fees are spelled out in the rental and member contract.
Are There Contracts to Sign?
Yes, there is a Renter's contract and a Member's contract. The purpose is to spell out the process and to protect all parties involved. Money does change hands so we must let the legal beagles do their thing.
I Cannot Find My Listing in the Rental Queue. Where Did it Go?
If you no longer see your reservation in the queue, then we did not find availability for your dates at the Resort(s) you requested. We do searches of availability daily on the reservations that are requested as far out as 7 months from today's date, and if there is no availability, then your listing will receive a status of "reservation not available." This status will stay for 24 hours, then our system will remove your listing from the queue. You will receive an automated email from us every time there is a change made to your account.Can I Change My Listing Price?Yes, you can increase or decrease your point price offering upon approval by RentMyDVCPoints.com.When Do I Pay?Payment is required immediately upon receipt of a reservation confirmation number. Can I Cancel A Confirmed Reservation?No, because we handle other Owners' points, therefore reservations can not be canceled. We will try and offer a solution but there is no guarantee that a solution will be found. We do not offer travel insurance. How Do I Pay For a Rental?Our way is via a PayPal account in USD. Having payment made via a PayPal withdrawal from a checking or savings account is FEE FREE! Go to www.PayPal.com , click on the Personal tab, click on "Send Money Now" link. How Do I Get Paid For My Rented Points?An Owner must have a PayPal account to receive payment for their rented points. RentMyDVCPoints.com will collect the rental fee from the renter and forward you the agreed upon point rental fee with RentMyDVCPoints.comHow Do I Establish a PayPal Account?Go to www.PayPal.com and follow the instructions from there.
What is Disney Magical Express?
If you are traveling via airline to Orlando International Airport, Disney offers a FREE bus transfer to guests staying at Disney World. You need to notify us of travelers needing transportation and we can notify Disney of your travel plans.
What is Disney Dining Plan?
With the DDP, you are purchasing a certain number of meals ahead of time on a "voucher system." For each night of your stay, each guest on a reservation receives an allotment of quick service meals (similar to fast food), table service (sit-down) meals and snacks, the number of which is dependent on which plan you choose. You need to have us book this prior to your trip. Payment must be made at the time of booking the DDP. More information is available on our DDP link.
Am I Able to Get the Disney Vacation Club Membership Perks If I Stay as a Guest of the Owner?
No. If you would like to receive special offers and discounts, you must be a DVC Member. All guests staying at a Disney World Resort regardless of membership, are able to receive free Disney transportation inside of Disney World, and are able to participate in Extended Magic Hours at Disney World Parks.
I Have A Special Occasion During My Stay, Who Do I Notify?
If you let us know at RentMyDVCPoints what the occasion is and on what day, we will inform the Owner of the points. The Owner can then let Disney know while making your reservation. You can also inform Disney of your special occasion when you go to check in on the day of your arrival.
What Type of Housekeeping Can I Expect at a DVC Resort?
Housekeeping on DVC properties are a little different from a standard room. If your stay is less than 8 days, you will have a "trash and tidy" service on the 4th day. If your stay is more than 8 days, housekeeping will do a full service clean on the 4th day, and a "trash and tidy" on the 8th day.
